The paint correction process is very different from the other services Detail Werx offers. Paint correction uses specialized compounds, pads, and polishers to smooth out imperfections in automotive paint, producing quality results every time. 


Paint correction can sometimes take more time and effort than our regular detailing services, but it also produces amazing results because it eliminates problems at their source instead of simply attempting to clean around them or temporarily mask their appearance. Paint correction restores your car's finish by reducing or eliminating oxidation, swirls, light scratches, watermarks, etching, or fading using advanced polishing techniques. The best part about paint correction is that it works on all colors equally well!

Paint correction starts with a heavy compounding step. We have an enhancement polish that includes our exterior detail; this is our top tier service that involves a 2-step machine polishing. Ideally looking to achieve 90% defect removal from the clear coat to leave a showroom level finish that is truly amazing.

  • Do new cars also need paint correction?

Unfortunately, it isn't uncommon for dealers to not wash the new vehicle properly prior to your purchase of the vehicle. Careful inspection may show that you have swirl marks, micro-marring, holograms or other paint defects. Paint correction will fix these problems for you!

  • Can paint correction fix oxidization?

  • Can I add ceramic coating to my vehicle after it is corrected?

    Yes, in fact, paint correction is the first step to ceramic coating. Paint correction normally ensures that your paintwork is completely repaired before you can move on to applying a ceramic coating. After a proper paint correction, your vehicle’s paint will have no swirl marks or holograms left over. It will also be extremely smooth and free of imperfections such as scratches, oxidation, contamination, etc. Hence it is better to have all these issues repaired beforehand so that the ceramic coating properly adheres to your paintwork.
